Because the media will take no matter what we do and take the opposite position, which is what it seems you are doing.

My post had nothing to do with the media, it was an internal argument with two posters who were pretending to be morally superior to other FReepers.

I don't like the idea that I must put an asterisk after any post about an alleged white-on-black crime -- an asterisk that basically bleats "But killing innocent people is wrong (gee, who knew); and "I'M not a racist."
My view is that FReepers
(a) understand right from wrong
(b) are not racists
and (c) are not in need of being lectured about (a) and (b).

But I don't think you're understanding my point, so I'm going to leave it at that. Have a happy Easter evening.
