It seems that too many American cities are lost. What are we to do about this? Cities are centers of business, culture and tourist destinations, are we to abandon our cities to the modern day barbarians? This has to be addressed in an unapologetic way.

I have eschewed cities in the US since the early 70's. I don't plan to change my direction.
