I think they don’t want to be bothered with swimming. Do Africans swim in Africa? It seems they run well and jump but don’t loiter in the water much, or maybe they do and it’s not reported?

A swimming instructor once told me that blacks have denser bones making them sinkers thus having more trouble learning to swim. Don’t know if it’s true but in my experience most blacks do not swim well, if at all.

Would YOU linger in ANY body of water in Africa? Hippos, crocs, poisonous snakes, and any number of other fauna desiring you for breakfast, lunch or dinner would likely keep you from swimming. The Lost Boys of Sudan, many of whom ended up in my city, say that they lost so many of their numbers to water-borne animals.

In Africa, I think if you go into the water, you don’t come out...crocs and such. Probably inhibits learning to swim somewhat.

“Do Africans swim in Africa?”

As little as possible.

Question: Why?

Answer: Crocs, hippos, parasites and diseases beyond counting.
