For the life of me can't think what it could be.

My question is: why were they down a few feet on the sidewalk between the two units and does it have something to do with that evidence?

I have a further question: Why is it taking so long to arraign this guy? If there’s sufficient evidence of his guilt he should be arraigned. If not, he should be publicly released for lack of evidence and the states attorney stating they’re dropping all investigations.

The reason they fight scene was a few feet from the intersection, as I picture it, is Martin came from the direction of where he was staying, on the long path. Zimmerman was walking back to his truck, with Martin at Zimmerman's 7 or 8 o'clock position. Martin called out, Zimmerman turned and went a short distance down the longer path, toward Martin.

So, that just describes the origin of the fight location, not what evidence might be there.

I think the additional evidence is another eyewitness, not John, not the 13 year old (who didn't see much anyway).

This isn't "evidence" per se, but I have been wondering where George was attacked in relation to his SUV. If it was near his vehicle, then that shows that George was returning to his car and not continuing to follow Martin.
