My understanding about a week ago was they were still waiting for forensic reports, TM’s blood work etc. Person who told me said it should be ready by the 10th. That the date for the grand jury was set for then to give time for the lab work to be completed.

Makes sense.

The grand jury date of the 10th was set by the -previous- prosecutor in the case, who has since been replaced by the special prosecutor appointed by the governor of Florida.

The -new- special prosecutor (a lady) has not yet said whether she intends to take the case before a grand jury.

I sense that a grand jury would be somewhat reluctant to prosecute, given the nature of evidence which as it accumulates continues to shift towards Zimmerman’s favor.

I believe this is why no grand jury date has been set. The special prosecutor -knows- that a grand jury investigation will not return an indictment against Zimmerman.

She is deliberately holding off on a grand jury because the results would be a foregone conclusion. And I sense she is under -great- pressure to bring some kind of charge against Zimmerman. Anything....

(by the way, if anyone has definitely heard that a grand jury -is- going to be convened, please reply)
