Video of man beaten, stripped prompting anger on Internet

This week, a video was posted online of a seemingly lost and disoriented man being swarmed by a group of young people, then sucker punched, robbed, and stripped naked of his clothing on a downtown Baltimore street. It's not clear where the video was first posted, but it made it to the now typical stops for such shock clips: Worldstarhiphop, LiveLeak, YouTube, Twitter.

What could have been just another tantalizing video turned into something else: outraged viewers say they have tracked down the identity of the man who threw the first punch, and police have connected a victim - who had reported an assault and theft to police but couldn't remember where it occurred - to the incident. Police say an investigation is moving forward.

Sometimes, the things people confess to here, in front of God and everybody, absolutely stuns me.

I keep thinking I’ve seen and heard everything but almost every day, somebody comes along and proves me wrong.

I thought we were supposed to be the “good guys”.

Well...I was about 10 years old at the time. His dog was taking bites at me and my dog, I was simply defending myself and my dog from an irresponsible dog owner. Continuing to hold the leash would have been like holding someone down so another can beat on them. I can live with myself just fine, it’s been many decades since that occurred and as an adult I would never own a pitbull or bull terrier. I have a sweet little 12 pound dog that knows to stay away from pitbulls. :)

The repercussions to fighting back are far worse than giving up.

No way. I don't know if this is sarcasm or not. I'll avoid the situation if I can, but if I can't avoid it, I'm solving the problem and going home and using the 3rd part of the 3's. "The shut up part"
