I’m in PA and though fully in Newt’s court... to keep Romney at bay I will vote for Santorum here. Much reluctantly I might add ...no... more than reluctantly.

I hate this primary....worse than when McCain screwed us.

Thank you, Caww. I can respect that.

For whatever it's worth, I took a bunch of hits in my own conservative Christian circles for making a case that evangelicals could vote for someone with Gingrich's background.

My argument, in brief, was:

1) to cite evangelical pastors testifying to the legitimacy of Gingrich's repentance, and
2) then to say that even if we don't believe he's sincere, numerous political leaders with seriously problematic morals were key to advancing the Reformation and also the fight against Islam, and
3) also to say that I believe Gingrich is strongly committed to promoting Western Judeo-Christian civilization and fighting Islam.

If the situation were reversed, I would be calling for Santorum supporters to back Gingrich right now in a last-ditch effort to defeat Mitt Romney. Defeating Romney needs to be the goal, because I believe a Romney nomination runs a serious risk of re-electing President Obama.
