The way I’m going with this one is that the boyfriend is a major league wimp. He calls his girlfriend ugly, she pushes and slaps him, and he calls the police. Maybe he should be wearing the dress in this relationship.

It's called controlling the narrative, and he did the smart thing. Being on record as the one who initiated the call about HER hitting HIM, it becomes harder for her to file false assault charges against him. She was trying to provoke him into retaliating so that she could get him arrested and thrown in jail.

If he's smart, he'll dump her immediately.
