Rick has to take Penn- and he has to cede NC to Newt. Rick can’t fight this fight alone- he needs Newt.

Why and how could he cede NC to Newt? Giving the “standard” 2/3 of Santorum’s strength to Newt moves Romney to 1st and Newt to 2nd. That does not help anyone.

Vin, Rick will not admit that. Newt has reached out to him, and Santorum told him to go fly a kite. Looks to me like Santorum is on schedule for VP or Cabinet position if he hangs in there to split the conservative vote for Romney’s benefit.

This is why it is so hard to take the Newt supporters seriously anymore.

There have been 3 polls taken in North Carolina in March. Gingrich is 3rd in all three. In the average, Santorum is beating Gingrich 29.7 to 16.3.

Only a true Gingrich supporter would claim that Santorum should CEDE a state he is LEADING in to the guy who is in 3rd place, and think that actually makes sense in the real world.

I’d say Gingrich should cede Pennsylvania to Santorum, but with Gingrich in single digits, it probably wouldn’t help all that much.

Newt Gingrich took less than 6% in Wisconsin, coming in 4th. He is not a viable candidate. He is not a serious candidate. You don’t get consideration at the convention by losing almost every state by double-digits, or skipping every state for a “southern strategy” that wins you only two southern states, one of which is your home state.

If the convention is going to pick people who did a lousy job of winning primaries, why wouldn’t they just pick someone who skipped all the primaries. At least they are already marked being unable to get people to vote for them.

If Romney not winning half the delegates proves he is unelectable, Gingrich winning virtually nothing proves that he is extremely so.
