One of the three Mega Millions jackpot winners says her winning ticket remains stashed away inside the Baltimore McDonald's where she works. But some of Marlinde Wilson's co-workers think she is telling a Big Lie.
"I left my ticket there, and it's somewhere safe that only I know about," Wilson told the New York Post. "I'm waiting for things to calm down so I can go back to McDonald's and get it. The people [at McDonald's] are too excited. I want their heads to cool down before I go back."
Wilson claims to have purchased one of the three winning Mega Millions lottery tickets. The three winners will each receive a share of the record-breaking $640 million jackpot. If Wilson's story is true, that would mean a $105 million ticket (after taxes) is stashed away somewhere inside the fast food restaurant.
Wilson's co-workers appear to be split in their opinion of her but all who have spoken to the media seem to share some animosity toward the Haiti native. Some of Wilson's colleagues say she is attempting to cheat them out of what should be shared winnings from a pool of lotto tickets 14 of the McDonald's employees purchased together.
And Wilson's manager, identified only as "Layla" by the Post, says she thinks Wilson isn't telling the truth about hiding the ticket inside the McDonald's. "That's impossible. She didn't come back here" after she purchased the ticket, Layla said.

LOLOL
I found it last week. It was a loser.
Amazing—she’s almost exactly what I had a mental picture of!
Someone downthread hit it on the head...the ticket is "gone" and she will sue.
Next it gets “stolen” from its hidey hole in McDonald’s.
I beleive her. How else could she afford a weave like that with 7 children on a McWage?
And she will have nobody to blame but herself. If you manage a pool, and want to bet on the side too, you have to have a way of proving which tickets were pool tickets and which were your own. A simple copy of the pool tickets distributed prior to the drawing would have done. It doesn't appear that she did that, so she should split the funds.
Who stores their private tickets in McDonald's safe anyway? I don't believe her.
LOL THAT’S funny!!
Maybe some rioters will burn it down and erase any doubt about the existence or validity of any ticket.
LOL! That assumes that Baltimorians actually THINK and put forth effort! ROFLMAO!
The people who gave her the money to play were also stupid. At least one of them should have demanded copies of the tickets played. I used to play the Powerball with a pool of my fellow employees. The lady who collected the money and bought the tickets always gave us copies of the tickets.
That explains the well-known success and prosperity of their island paradise homeland.
I'd think having scamming skills is the only way you can survive in Haiti. Same with Somalis. Yet leaders of both parties have decided we need to import tens of thousands of them to our shores.
:)
I read somewhere the 7/11 where the winning ticket was purchased said a man bought it. If he has even driven by her McDonald’s, he will be accused of raiding her hiding place. God help hi of he’s white.
I was just going to post the same thing! When the real winner finally shows up, this is exactly what she'll do. She might be actually be more clever than we're giving her credit.
Gee I hope she didn’t stash it in the french fry chopper or the hamburger grinder. Oh, wait McDonalds doesn’t have that stuff, they only use frozen food. She’s not welcome back at McDonalds obviously, so if she doesn’t cash that ticket pretty soon she’s going to have to find another fast food job somewhere. Good luck Scammie Scammington.
i dunno. from what i read her claim has more merit that that other one. they pooled their money, she bought the tix, and they were all kept in a locked box at the store.if the winning ticket is NOT in the locked box, then it isn’t part of the pool, and the prize is hers.
