Being the opposition party is always easier, all you have to do is bitch and complain and not have any real responsibility, but you still get all of the perks of being in Washington, DC.

That’s on my list of possible reasons also.

I honestly can’t think of anyone worse to be our nominee than Romney. Heck, even freaking Joe Liberman would have been a stronger candidate.

The only thing that could make Romney worse is if he got caught having an affair before November.

I am slipping into depression.

There’s your answer. Far better to let President Obama and the party he (nominally) heads to take the rap for a tanked economy and a Second Great Depression. It is a calculated risk; hold out until 2016 and in theory, the country should be ready for a Republican President.

In theory.
