Despite the obvious hubris I wouldn’t rule Iran out completely. Remember their biggest allies, the US Congress, several presidents and border states, have allowed Iranian, AQ et al operatives to enter the US virtually at will along w/ any weapons they wanted to bring along. They could do some real damage.
