With the Republican Party slowly but surely coalescing around Mitt Romney, Jon Stewart began his show today looking for some semblance of enthusiasm for the frontrunner among Republicans, and finding not all that much– from former President George H.W. Bush to Sen. Marco Rubio to his wife, Ann. He found so little, he rewrote a few previous Republican campaign slogans to reflect this level of enthusiasm.

I will hold my nose to vote for ANYONE against Obama, and pray that a Republican Congress grows a spine and keeps Mitt in line.

Just remember, there is a greater chance that RomneyCare will pass muster with the Supreme Court, than ObamaCare.

But apparently the democratic establishment can.

I agree with you.

It is getting tiresome to hear the "purists" around here saying "I'll never vote for Romney".

Quite frankly, the prime directive is to unseat Obama and get rid of his entire corrupt Marxist administration.

That is Job One.

Not voting for the GOP candidate in November 6th is unthinkable, knowing that the Dems are going to pull every vote fraud, machine counting, ballot inventing trick in their arsenal to keep their Muslim Manchurian usurper in office.

I want Newt, but if I can't have him, I WILL vote for the GOP candidate--because the alternative--a Zero second term--is unthinkable for me, my family, and my country.

that’s the difference - we have freedom. they march in lockstep. you woulds think that the party bigwigs would have learned from Dole, or Mccain. but NO! here we go again...

I have another reason.

If we keep tilting the table in favor of Mitt, the people will catch on.

I will support the devil I know, I will stand with the mother country and bend the knee to the King of England, because the alternative is the unknown, the rough untrodden land, the frontier and the savages. The King’s fist is a caress compared to the treatment I could expect from the Mohawks.
Give me liberty — to be starved and slain? God save the King.

Vote for Romney. Obama’s worse.

Vote for Romney. Choice is overrated.

Vote for Romney. Change sucks.

Vote for Romney. Whatever!

But, that would have to be new legislation, and that was my point about praying for the Congress to grow a pair.

Stewart is a pandering, self important, pseudo-intellectual, mock-jewish communist. There are (2) reasons to watch this slug.
1. To know what liberal tripe is being pimped as “news” to the college crowd.
2. To identify sponsors who fund the Comedy Central shock social agenda.

Maybe destroying the GOP-e is just as important or more important than the next four years. Especially if the SCOTUS shoots down mandated socialized medicine bill. 4 years of RINO Romney begates 8 years followed by another RINO.

Conservatives have nobody to blame but themselves. If we had coalesced around an alternate candidate, he (or she) could have beaten Romney.

But every alternative was destroyed for one reason or another, often at least partly for being "not conservative enough" on some issue.

Hey, if you reject all the alternatives, you get what's left.

I think, CV, that this will be my last vote for the GOP.

I would like to see a conservative third party formed, and the GOP go the way of the Whigs, which is what they deserve.

The GOP and its leadership are not redeemable—they are the same go along to get along crowd they always have been, and since 1992,they have been ineffective in rolling back the trend toward socialism in America.

The Tea Party is the future becasue it is the only future that will allow AMerica to work. The existing GOP is the only vehicle we have right now to unseat Obama, but we do not have to keep driving that vehicle.

Every Democrat in every office in the land has to be defeated. They are the Communist Party of America. That we have idiots like Boehner, who says he and Obama get along great, when Obama is the biggest enemy of the country in its history is proof the GOP days are numbered.

Scalia is 76 and Kennedy is 75. They're not going to live forever.

We have come to a point in American history whereby the working man or woman is no longer in control of their government.

Over the years the election process changed from worthy candidates campaigning on their past history and potential to both protect the laws the Constitution provided AND the protection of the rights and freedoms of the common citizen.

All major elections and candidates now involve huge sums of money (amounts far in excess that the common public can provide)and in essence are controlled by “fat cats,” private businesses, special interests and even the government itself. The “payoff” comes after the election.

We are watching this theory in action by the GOP selecting our 2012 candidate in 2008. There was no doubt where the “big money” was going to go for this election.

Now, we have Romney, an anointed prince who has no understanding of the common serf (man or woman) who lives from day to day, working at a job to scrape by, and who is “fleeced” by all governmental levels of their hard-earned money. After all, you have to understand that you can’t tell someone how fried skunk tastes unless you have eaten it yourself. Romney has absolutely no idea of the lifestyle of the common person and that will come to haunt us after this upcoming election simply because he lives in a world surrounded by opulence and American royalty.

I bet he’s never had his electricity turned off for an overdue bill, had to finance a car repair or home repair, had to borrow money to pay his taxes.....etc........

That’s what the GOP clueless about...the common man or woman.

If SCOTUS shoots down the Obamacare bill it will not rise again. Even Bohner isn’t that stupid.

Two of the four best conservatives are still around. The best possible was never in the race to begin with. I weep.
