“The president stressed that the judges are “unelected” and noted that the law was passed by a democratically elected Congress.”

The President is elected by the Electoral Congress which in turn has been selected by the voters on election day.

The Supreme Court is appointed by the Congress which in turn has been selected by the voters on election day.

Senators were originally selected by states.

All of these are established by our Constitutional Republic.

We are a Republic established by the Constitution, not a democracy (mob rule)as many on the left would like.

Great post - except that it should read...

“The Supreme Court is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, both which in turn had been selected by the voters on election day.”

Congress doesn’t appoint Supreme Court Justices - the House specifically has zero role in that regard.
