SANFORD -- Rosetta Williams, one of six girls who were the first to integrate Seminole High School in 1965, thought the world had come further.
Yet 47 years later, Williams left her Deltona home on Saturday morning to rally for justice, not only for Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old shot and killed in Sanford, but for her own grandchildren and others.
"We did this when we were young," Williams said. "It's a shame we have to do this again in 2012."
Williams was one of more than 140 Volusia and Flagler area residents who participated in a march and rally in Sanford, which drew an estimated 1,200 people. Among the group were 54 Bethune-Cookman University students and 75 Flagler County residents. The march was organized by the Florida chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
State and national NAACP leaders, accompanied by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, led the march to the Sanford Police Department from a local school that served black students during the segregation era. The march ended with a nearly two-hour rally.
"We live in the middle of an American paradox," Sharpton told the crowd. "We can put a black man in the White House but we cannot walk a black child through a gated neighborhood. We are not selling out, bowing out or backing down until there is justice for Trayvon."

What am I missing here? Is this not a simple case of a trespassing pants on the ground hooded gang banger beating up the neighborhood watch guy who is hispanic/jewish, and gangbanger gets himself shot for attacking a neighborhood guard?
What is the outrage all about? That we have a view from Whtie house that the dead gang banger could be his son?? too?
Question: Where do those hoodies and pants on the ground and tshirts down to the knees come from? I shop all the time and never see that stuff in my stores. Maybe I am shopping in the wrong neighborhoods.

And what will Al and the boys do if there is no justice?
In their minds, the only proper justice would be if Zimmerman goes to prison for murder.
But, it’s possible that won’t happen. Justice could still be done even if Zimmerman doesn’t go to prison.
A grand jury will look into this case. A special prosecutor appointed by the governor of Florida is also looking into it.
The way Al Sharpton and his people are, if the grand jury doesn’t return a murder indictment, or the special prosecutor doesn’t find enough evidence to prosecute, or a trial happens, but Zimmerman is found not guilty, the race baiters such as Sharpton will say that justice was NOT done.
They have set this up so that anything sort of murder one will be cause for them to take to the streets, proclaiming that justice was not done.
If they do their complete investigation, review all evidence, etc. and decide that it was truly self-defense, then justice WILL have been done. But Sharpton and the boys won’t see it that way.
I’m not convinced they will be satisfied even with a murder conviction. They will claim that “the man” oppressed all sorts of other “children” and keep rioting anyway. We’ve got another Los Angeles 1992 on our hands, but this time the White House and the DOJ will fully support the criminals.

This is by design, make no mistake. The “leaders” fully intend a scenario in which Zimmerman is killed or taken into unlawful custody.
