Trayvon Martin shooting: It's not George Zimmerman crying for help on 911 recording, 2 experts say
Chicago Tribune ^ | 3/31/12 | Jeff Weiner

As the Trayvon Martin controversy splinters into a debate about self-defense, a central question remains: Who was heard crying for help on a 911 call in the moments before the teen was shot?

A leading expert in the field of forensic voice identification sought to answer that question by analyzing the recordings for the Orlando Sentinel.

His result: It was not George Zimmerman who called for help.

George was trying to get Trayvon off of him but was physically unable to do so.

Is that a FACT? Three witness have stated that Trayvon was on the bottom, face down. There's a good chance they were wrestling, rolling around on the ground. 'Tho the one witness who was watching from his window when the bullet was actually fired said there wasn't much movement, just a lot of yelling.

“he was disturbed when he shoved a policeman”

Nothing to do with this. If Zimmerman’s history is relevant, so is Martin’s (Twitter accounts, school records)

“can pull strings”

Far cry from “did” pull strings.

...no witnesses who saw otherwise...

That is incorrect.

"...If Zimmerman were screaming, he would have continued screaming cuz screaming doesn’t stop that fast once you start unless you are shot dead like Trayvon was..."

Hahaha...oh REALLY? Please enlighten us on how this works. Let's assume for the sake of argument that Zimmerman was the one screaming. It's okay, I know you really think it was Martin, but humor us please.

If Zimmerman was screaming for help and he shot Martin, would it sound like "HELP! HELP! (Weapon discharges) Help! help...help...hel..."

Tell us. Is that how it would sound? And what do you base that on, your long history of close quarters violent combat?

I’m profiling George Zimmerman if you don’t mind. He wreaks of mama’s boy, black sheep, coddled, enabled. Altar boy first thing we heard about George Zimmerman. Nice try. Nice try.

-- It is odd that the chief of police resigned and Norm Wolfinger removed himself from the case. It looks like they pulled strings for him because of his speacial dad. --

It's de rigueur, in a controversial case, for the usual players to step aside, and have an independent outsider make the final call. The point of this is to lend credibility to the system. The police chief stepped aside voluntarily. The town asked the feds to get involved, before the incident turned into a media circus.

His dad isn't special in Florida. His dad was a magistrate judge in Virginia, since retired. Pretty low-powered office, magistrate judge.

If there was going to be a credible charge of "protection" to Zimmerman, it would be his special relationship with law enforcement, just for being neighborhood watch, point man, and for initiating contact with the police more often that most people do. But I think this case involved too many players from the local constabulary, to make a cover-up feasible.

The evidence is what it is. There are 911 calls, eyewitnesses who did not call, Zimmerman's word, and forensic evidence. The evidence drives the conclusion.

"Any photos of blood spatter from Zimmerman getting his head bashed?"

Blood spatter patterns can tell a trained forensic tech loads of data. Like who was on top of who. If Zimmerman shot Martin while Martin was on top of him Blood Spatter from the gunshot can show their relative positions because of directionality of the blood drops. Then there is Gun Shot Residue which can tell how close the shooting victim was to the gun when he got shot.

None of that evidence has been released yet and probably won't unless there is a trial.

Legislators got sick and tired of people like you dragging law-abiding citizens through the meat-grinder of a trial, forced to defend themselves against YOU after defending themselves against a more forthright kind of criminal assault.

Agreed and the fact that the prosecutor did not think an arrest was in order only speaks to the strength of the evidence in Zimmerman's favor.

Alice, weree not there screams that were just plain screams, rather than “help”? I listened to what was screaming but just screams, not any words. You know what screams I’m talking about?

If Zimmerman had an open bleeding wound on the back of his head, why didn’t the EMT bandage it?

A question I've asked but no one has answered. One would think if there was a serious wound it would be bandaged just to keep it clean. As for the bloodied nose, maybe Martin head-butted him during their struggle.

Yes, the MSM has an agenda and they are pushing it hard, no matter what the facts are.

They are desperate since they know that the facts will show legitimate self-defense.

AOL had a story about Zimmeron's 'history of violence'.

I have never seen a vendetta like this on a national scale.

I guess they think they have another Rodney King incident to milk.

-- Which suggests that they knew they would end up with an expensive prosecution that amounted to nothing ... --

State law awards damages to wrongly charged defendants, in self-defense cases. So, not only would there be the cost of prosecution (essentially zero for the state, as the prosecutors and judges are on payroll anyway, the incremental cost of trying a case is small), there would be damages to Zimmerman.

Then there is the risk of looking like Nifong.

You are doing no such thing. You are simply pulling stuff out your ass with no reason at all

There is even some idiot on this thread who is claiming there are 3 witnesses who saw Zimmerman on top of Trayvon. I have not seen that even on the massively biased main stream media.

You might have heard it from one of your hate Whitey marches.

I don’t care if he was a Momma’s boy as if that can even be rightly detected. Douglas McArthur was said to be a “mommas boy” she even rented a room near West Point to be near him.

-- The only thing that stuck out there is that he shoved a cop ... --

Plainclothes alcohol inspector. Zimmerman says he didn't know the guy was law enforcement. Not vouching for the truth of all that, but Zimmerman says that if he'd known it was a cop (i.e., officer in uniform), he'd have been respectful.
