Texas lawyers offer $10,000 for George Zimmerman's legal defense

The National Association for Legal Gun Defense wants to contribute $10,000 toward George Zimmerman's legal expenses, a member said today.

The group represents gun owners involved in self-defense shooting cases, said attorney Blue Rannefeld of Fort Worth, Texas.

Rannefeld said he has not been able to contact Zimmerman, 28, and is trying to reach Zimmerman's attorney, Craig Sonner of Altamonte Springs to make the group's offer of assistance.

Is the end game of this the same as it was for Fast and Furious, to reduce or remove the right to bear arms? In other words, do they want to make an environment where even if you are still technically allowed to have arms, you would not be allowed to use them in self defense because your name would be plastered across the media and roving bands of our modern barbarians (whatever the color) would march around, protest and put a price on your head? They make it a lose, lose situation, even though arms are “technically” still legal, they are allowed to incite riots, lynch mobs, etc with no recourse from law abiding people?

Why don’t our conservative leaders speak out? I am so angry at some of them like Sean Hannity who jumped on this “lynchmob” bandwagon without having all the facts. They should shouting from the rooftops. We must keep the rule of law!!!

I can only hope that with all the latitude the “oppressed” minorities have to show their “true colors”, so to speak, the white kids aren’t so indoctrinated that they no longer even believe their own eyes and ears after repeated incidents like this. If this is all going to lead to CWII, I wish we’d get on with it while we still have the numbers and our right to keep and bear arms. I only say “if” that is the case. Otherwise, we’re all going to be living in Detroit or South Africa and utter anarchy, not a world any civilised people would want to live in.

Spike Lee is making a specific terrorist threat and should be prosecuted in order to preserve law and order, it should not be overlooked just because it is a political statement from a celebrity,
