Bill Maher got really fired up on his show tonight over the Trayvon Martin shooting, and tore into George Zimmerman for his pithy defense of his actions that night, bluntly calling him a big f!@#ing liar. Maher showed the tape of Zimmerman, which may or may not disprove the claim that Martin broke his nose and fought with him. Maher thought Zimmermans claim was completely ridiculous, and asked if the tape was definitive proof that Zimmerman was lying about the struggle.
Panelist Van Jones noted that in most cases, the families of the victim tend to trust that the police is on your side, but since the police didnt arrest Zimmerman due to the stand your ground law, Jones admitted that he wasnt sure how to make his kids safe if they couldnt trust the police or wear hoodies or whatever else may be too dangerous for them. Maher asked if at this point, anyone could doubt that Zimmerman was lying.
Rich Galen made it clear that no matter what kind of person Martin was, he didnt deserve what happened to him, and tried to point out that teenagers die needlessly due to traffic accidents, but Maher steered the conversation back to the topic. He said that if it was true that Zimmerman had a broken nose, blood would have been all over his shirt in the video. He asked why the right [is] so anxious to defend George Zimmerman and suggesting that everyone is rushing to judgment.
Maher is such a comedian.
Incite.
The law that precludes the police from arresting someone without probable cause probably protects minorities more than it does anyone else.
That would be a favor to what's left of Detroit.
...more people saw the Zimmerman incident than saw Bill Maher anywhere....
Why yes, yes Bill. I have much doubt that George Zimmerman is a “big f___king liar”. You on the other hand, most definitely fit that description!
Are you related to the Lucas of the old British electrical company? Lucas was THE Prince of Darkness for Triumph drivers and riders in the old days.
Wasn't Zimmerman wearing a RED shirt? Just maybe it wouldn't be that visible.
I got a suggestion for Maher. Get into black face, put on a hoodie and go walking around you’re own neighborhood. If someone asks you what you’re doing pull out your cell phone and point it. You’ll find out what kind of neighbors you have.
“Maher asked if at this point, anyone could doubt that Zimmerman was lying.”
a minute later He (Maher) is suggesting that “everyone is rushing to judgment.”
Hey Billy boy thats some pretty funny shit. Oh I forget, you are a comedian.
Yeah you are right, you better defend Maha Rush, because son, you and your cronies got that hate speech down to a science! At least you figured that out, he (Rush) goes then that makes you next in line
Why are they launching a race war?
Everyone needs to chill, and start thinking!
The Trayvon Martin story is starting to stink worse than a cesspit. And, the more it stinks, the more it is becoming obvious that it is and was manufactured from the start to exacerbate racial tensions. The big question are why and why now.
Lets go through it again quickly.
A run-of-the-mill shooting incident that took place more than a month ago suddenly and without warning bursts on to the national stage from coast-to-coast, Occupy goes on a semi-rampage and all the professional race agitators (including the President) immediately jump in to whip up the flames
Then what happens? Well, lets see. Word comes out that Zimmerman is Hispanic (and Hispanic looking) but he magically is transformed into White-Hispanic which is a term I doubt many people have ever heard; Martin gets outed as a thug and at least a wanna-be-gangbanger, his misogynistic and provocative tweets spread all over the media and instead of quieting the furor, causes the Left to double down and even turn up the heat.
Why?
Why in the springtime of a year with a terrible economy and an unemployment situation that has drastically worsened for all Americans, but most seriously for minorities? Why with a long hot summer ahead and a national election on the horizon?
Why? And why now?
Look for clues people! This is not spontaneous! This is an orchestrated operation proceeding on a schedule, launched by persons unknown to deliberately stoke racial tensions and possibly even racial violence between black and white Americans.
Why?
Whatever the plan is, and whoever is running it, the worst thing we can do is let them bulldoze us on their schedule and by us I mean everybody of all races who is not interested in becoming cannon fodder in an artificially stimulated race war!
Wake up, people. Calm down. Talk to your friends of other races. Lets all reaffirm our ties of dignity and our commitment to civil behavior. Everyone, lets stop and remember that we do not have to follow those banners. We dont have to take the bait they are leaving.
We are not stupid bulls you can just wave a flag in front of and expect to charge.
Something is going on. Lets figure out what it is and find a way to respond intelligently and calmly.
Chill!!!
George Zimmerman is going to own NBC and Bill Maher and Al Sharpton when this thing is all over.
“Why are they launching a race war?”
They’re not launching it. It’s eternal, like the War on Drugs or my appetite for BLT sandwiches (mmmmmm).
Nah. I just used it from the title of Robert Novak’s memoir “The Prince of Darkness: 50 Years Reporting in Washington”. A very fine book.
YEP
No, there is absolutely no doubt that Bill Maher is a big liar.
“Why?
Why?
Why? And why now?
Why?
Something is going on. Lets figure out what it is and find a way to respond intelligently and calmly.”
There’s a simple answer to all your questions, and it’s the selfsame answer as to why the heretofore obscure personage Sandra Fluke suddenly became famous a few weeks ago. Namely, it’s election season. The Obama campaign needs its base together. That means identity politics, and that means scaring women and blacks into thinking Republicans are out to get them.
I am tempted to say “duh,” but wouldn’t want to be insulting to honest questions.
