From New York City to Beijing, a team of artists are shedding light on what the world would be like at the end of humanity.
In Silent World, artists Lucie and Simon have taken the world's most familiar and populous cities and removed all but one or two people to create the illusion of a lonely world.
In the thought-provoking work, places like the normally bustling Times Square and Tiananmen Square appear absent of their crowds.

And Horse crap too, too many neon signs and electrical devices. Not enough trash, dirt and vegetative overgrowth.

Look at Tiananmen Square, who do you see in the center portrait???? I downloaded the picture and tried to enlarge the man's image. Being a JPG greatly reduced the resolution of the picture. All I could say about the man is he does have large ears but does not have too dark complexion. So could not make any conclusion as to who it is, especially not knowing what the current Chinese leaders look like.

To heck with the picture of McDonalds, I'd be heading for Tiffanys or Cartiers

Not a Single Zombie in any of the pics! That's because my brother and I got there first with our Saiga 12's. Race you to Philly.

Hard for me to see anything that unusual in the pics — people density is about what it normally is around here (rural town). And very few hoodies, a few for the cold.

There was a National Geographic special I think that imagined what the cities would look like 50 years and beyond if humans were to disappear.
I thought it was cool and quite accurate. Looking at parking lots today and imagining no weed control, acorns easily sprouting in their cracks, growing and slowly lifting up the pavement then eventually breaking it as the trees grew.
Nature is relentless and whatever man has made on the surface of this planet, nature can take back and destroy over time......

"There was a National Geographic special I think that imagined what the cities would look like 50 years and beyond if humans were to disappear." I started watching that but they left out the Zombies so I watched a rerun of Obama's Inauguration instead...
