House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) is expected to endorse Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney before Wisconsin's GOP primary next Tuesday, according to media reports.

Ryan would be the latest in a string of high-profile endorsements for Romney this week, as party leaders have increasingly coalesced around the former Massachusetts governor's campaign. The Wisconsin lawmaker would join popular freshman Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former president George H. W. Bush in signaling support for Romney this week.

What makes you think Romney will win against Obama?
We really have a great choice here:
(A) Barrack Obama: Hard Left Marxist
or
(B) Mitt Romney: Center Left Socialist
That in a nutshell is your choice, this is what we have come to in this country, no one offering a clear cut choice and/or running on Conservatism.

You can polish the Romney Excrement all you want but it will not make him a Conservative or get a lot of folks like me to vote for him.

If Romney cannot get enough of the Conservative base and Independents to vote for him he's done before he even gets started.

Romney will have to make a major Right Turn and focus like a laser only on the economy with realistic ideas otherwise he might as well phone in his campaign for he's finished before the opening of the labor Day!!!!!!!

I don’t think that I said, on this site, that Romney will defeat Obama.

If we have to go with Romney eventually then we will deal with that.

But there is still time to fight. Vote santorum in WI — if he wins, he wins all. Enough states that Chios santorum and the world sees what we think of Romney.

It does not help Obama if we fight on for a conservative in our primary. Look at the Hillary primary fight. How did that help
McCain again?

Donate and call for Rick today. Vote for him in WI tomorrow. Donor waste a vote on newt. That only helps Romney in WI. Winner take all. It helps newt best to Stop or Try to Stop Romney.

I wish FR would endorse “anyone but Romney” in these primaries and “the one who an win all the delegates” in the winner take all ones.

“And that line of thought is the biggest problem of all we have in this country..... Too many people need leaders to inspire them. Too many people want to be lead.....

Why do we even have a President OF The United States then?....You took what I stated completely out of context and you know it......The Tea Party does need a leader ....Not someone you sell your soul too....There’s a big difference.....

Why do we even have a President OF The United States then?

We are shareholders voting for boards of directors. The House, Senate, and President are our EMPLOYEES and we need to view them as such. We don't have kings.

The Tea Party needs people to lead themselves. Don't follow a leader. Be your own leader.

It doesn’t sound like conflicted reasoning if you actually read the post.

In the first sentence, I am discussing what signal that a Romney victory will send. (Not that I agree with the signal, but when Romney wins the GOP elites will say, “See, the Tea Party will fall in line, we can safely tack to the left and go for the Moderate / progressive vote”.

Then my second sentence points out that the Democrats pursue a different strategy and win by catering to their base, and not abandoning it in a general election, as we’re about to experience for the second election in a row.

In reality, I believe the signal that will be sent on election day, is that when you ignore and demoralize the conservative base, their turnout drops by 5-10% and the Republicans lose to the most flawed candidate the Dems have ever nominated.

Obama will destroy Romney by focusing on the history of racism in the Mormon church. The GOP is delusional if they think otherwise.

Romney is an ex-governor, alright, but I think more in the mold of Mike Dukakis, a bloodless Massachusetts technocrat, than Ronald Reagan.
