Friday night, CNN's Soledad O'Brien leads a special town hall event about the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin that has sparked a national dialogue on race and what it says about America. "Beyond Trayvon: Race and Justice in America." Tune in Friday night at 8 p.m. ET on CNN.
Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- George Zimmerman's brother said medical records will prove that his brother was attacked and his nose was broken by Trayvon Martin before he fatally shot the teen.

A new federal law will be called for: if you are attacked by a young black man, take your beating with joy, knowing you are demonstrating a non-racist attitude.
Let her have her little special, it is probably the last hurrah before she starts having to look for another job. Maybe Jesse Jackson has an opening, she could be an office assistant.
oh brother, townhall meetings are back.
I have a question for our Legal Beagles, If a organization like a media conglomerate, pushes a story that they know is false yet seems plausible on the surface for a political agenda ends up getting the person or organization the story is about hurt or killed, can they be sued under civil law?
I wonder about that because the Martin/Zimmerman incident to me seems to now come under the same premise of yelling FIRE in a crowded theater. And as the Supreme Court has already ruled that type of speech is not protected under the first amendment.
I say that after carefully looking the story over and seeing the willful blindness toward all of the facts. And with the knowledge now that the story was pushed out of D.C. after a Civil Rights lawyer/activist got involved in the first place. My take: The goal here is to inflame, (Literally), portions of the United States populace into violent activity.
Why? On the Media’s side, that sort of activity means Money and lots of it from advertisers trying to sell everything from pain Meds to Insurance to feminine hygiene products. And on the Political side? Chaos is a wonderful thing to “get things done” especially since rapid action is demanded and stealth agenda’s can be instituted more easily.
In conclusion we are all being railroaded to a destination that we really will not be happy to arrive at. And to counter that we need, no... MUST show that words and actions when willfully taken to incite such behaviors have major and lasting consequences to the ones who pushed for them.
Give her a pistol and let a 6'2" man sit on her chest beating her head into the pavement, then see if she shoots him.
Wasn’t our glorious Pres supposed to end all racism and racial tension.?
Hummm, seems to me its a lot, lot worse.
Wikipedia says she is half white and half “Afro-Cuban”.
Yes, absolutely. The generic term for what the media is engaged in is "defamation."
I'm sure some shark is looking carefully at the media reports that came out about two weeks after the incident. Early reports were fairly sterile, but after two weeks they changed into making false accusations.
She’s half-azzed.
The physical tussle went on for some time, hearing it in the background of one of the 911 calls from a neighbor.
It is played out over and over with different targets.. as the election nears it will get worse.
It is hard to understand why congress is not speaking up against Holder or DHS on the New Black panther bounty.
Oh Jeez. I just spit my coffee all over. Thanks a lot!
:-)
ROBERT ZIMMERMAN, GEORGE ZIMMERMAN'S FATHER: After nearly a minute of being beaten, George was trying to get his head off the concrete, trying to move with Trayvon on him, into the grass. In doing so, his firearm was shown.CNN Newsroom - March 29, 2012 Other reports, also from family, puts the "George pulled the pistol" in a slightly different light.Trayvon Martin said something to the effect of "You're going to die now or you're going to die tonight," something to that effect. He continued to beat George and at some point, George pulled his pistol and did what he did.
"Zimmerman" in this transcript excerpt is Robert Zimmerman, Jr., George Zimmerman's brother.
ZIMMERMAN: Well, and -- you know, I take a -- I take a pause to that whole, you know, conjecture, again, of pulled out a gun and shot him. That's absolutely not fact.Piers Morgan - March 29, 2012(CROSSTALK)
MORGAN: That's not what happened, then?
ZIMMERMAN: No, it is not what happened.
MORGAN: But he did pull out a gun and shoot him, right?
ZIMMERMAN: Well, he stopped someone from disarming him and shooting him. He didn't pull out a gun and shoot him. George showed tremendous restraint --
MORGAN: But he had the gun on him, right?
ZIMMERMAN: He had a permit to carry that gun --
MORGAN: Where was the gun?
ZIMMERMAN: The gun, I believe, was in his -- inside -- tucked inside his pant waist --
MORGAN: Right.
ZIMMERMAN: In a waist holster.
MORGAN: So he has pulled it out and he has fired it?
ZIMMERMAN: Well, he has taken control of his firearm, he prevented his firearm from being taken from him and used against him. And that's called saving your life.
MORGAN: Right. So you believe, as a family -- is this what George told you the next day? That Trayvon was trying to grab his gun to use against him?
ZIMMERMAN: My father also is on record yesterday night saying that. And again, what Trayvon said was, either to the effect of, I believe, this is going to be easy, you die tonight or you have a piece, you die tonight. And then attempted to disarm him. So when you say, "have a bag of Skittles and an iced tea," nobody just stood there with a bag of Skittles and iced tea. You return force with force when somebody assaults you.
George was out of breath, he was barely conscious, his last thing he remembers doing was moving his head from the concrete to the grass, so that if he was banged one more time he wouldn't be -- you know, wearing diapers for the rest of his life and being spoon fed by his brother, and there would have been George dead had he not acted decisively and instantaneously in that moment when he was being disarmed by --
MORGAN: I mean, there were people watching this saying, well, the family would say this, they're protecting their brother. He may well have invented this whole story. Once he realized what he'd done. He may have just thought, the only way I can get out of this is to use this "Stand Your Ground" law, and under Florida law, and just invent this whole story. He may have inflicted the injuries to himself. We don't know, do we? Nobody actually knows.
LOL! God, that’s funny. Not funny that it’s so close to the truth.
Not "hard to understand" at all. Either
1) They are cowards...or
2) They are of the same mind.
What other reasons could exist?
Hey, I have an idea, get David Duke to co-host. He's tan, rested and ready. The perfect pair.
sure appears that she should run as vice-president with the mutt . then we will have a couple of more ethnic groups covered
No he only ended it for white people; the rest can be as racist as they want.
Was he there?
