I’m imagining that people are going online to “google” George Zimmerman’s name in an effort to find his address. There’s a problem with this. In my case, just about every address I’ve ever lived at — however briefly — continues to be listed on some of these sites. Places I haven’t lived for over 25 years. Old information never dies in the internet. Moreover, these sites do not give dates, so it’s difficult to decide which is the current address.
I've googled my name in the past and hit over 28 other matches to people with the same name match. Probably a lot more out there now. My wife's name was identical to another patient in her doctor's office, and the office was sending the other woman's bills to us for payment. My daughter got married, and now has the same name as her sister-in-law.
Googling is highly inaccurate for finding any one individual, unless you can also identify by pictures and fingerprints. My name has turned up hits for doctors, lawyers, movie producers, artists and decent folk. So far, none are killers or wanted criminals (at least, so far).
