Sheriff Joe is NOT going to let this go until he gets answers. If they still refuse to comply, since this is an active criminal investigation, he could petition a court to issue a writ of mandamus to the agency.
Seems from indications that I've seen, requests for individual service/draft records are honored routinely. This denial begs the questioned, what's the problem in this instance?
