The prosecutor at the center of the national firestorm over whether the man who killed Trayvon Martin should be charged in his death says she’s not likely to need a grand jury to make the decision for her. More probable, she said, is that she’ll be the one to decide.

“I always lean towards moving forward without needing the grand jury in a case like this,” Angela Corey, the state attorney assigned to the case by Gov. Rick Scott, told The Herald/Times. “I foresee us being able to make a decision, and move on it on our own.”

Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll, will lead a Task Force on Citizen Safety and Protection to investigate how to make sure a tragedy such as this does not occur in the future, under Angela Corey.

Zimmerman will walk. The original 911 call he made has him saying repeatedly that Martin “ran” and that he “lost” Martin.

At one point the dispatcher asks Zimmerman for his home address and Zimmerman gives him the house number and then whispers “oh crap I don’t want to say it out loud, I don’t know where he’s at.”

He was NOT in pursuit of Martin, one of the favorite myths of the crazed mob. He had no idea where Martin was and said so repeatedly.

My nearly useless BlackBerry can’t read the comments. Any Freeper want to clue me in to the tone? Lately even the rabid lefist pit that is Yahoo News has been dominated by comments sick of the LSM spin...

I think the fix is in.

Of course it is. The prosecutor said so right here:

“I foresee us being able to make a decision, and move on it on our own.”

The "decision" to go ahead and prosecute has already been made, obviously, because otherwise there would be nothing to "move" on.

The case is now officially politicized. The reason she says she won’t need a grand jury is she has little evidence to present to them even though the standards of proof are low. Dead men don’t testify. Grand juries are anonymous and thus are insulated from being castigated by the public if they do not indict. She does not want the embarrassment of a no bill and therefore she will move the prosecution ahead on her own.

This will be a political lynching. There is no real case that could establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

No doubt they don’t care if they can win the case. They only care that they can try it.

This will cost the left big time.

I don’t want Zimmerman tried because he acted in self defense but if he does anything but walk everybody but the lynch mob will be furious

I agree, these sycophant politicians and leftists in the media who think they’re helping some social cause and Odumbo are effing clueless. We all see what’s up with this case and the majority can see it’s a public lynching by the loud race hustlers.
Look their man’s in office and yet the victimology and mob mentality continues.

Don’t know how they can try him?
Not possible to get a fair verdict under the circumstances.
The press this huy has gotten makes Hilter look good.
Even if a juror would beleive no evidence was presented for conviction they are not likely to vote not guilty out of fear for retaliation.

Under Florida law she only needs the GJ if she wants to make it a death penalty case.

I wouldn’t write her off too quick there. She just may be the one to put a stop to this whole mess. If she says “No, no charges will be filed” then that’s it. That’s it for the state of Florida anyway. The FedMob could try to trump up some federal charges but that would look very weak and political and would fly right back onto 0bama.

It’s got to have occurred to her if she doesn’t press charges Shabazz (maybe not in person) and his half wit lynch mob will be coming for her. Of course she will say she’s not afraid of them but she has to say that. She knows she will not be in office forever
