excerpt...
Turning to Romney, Adelson sounded frustrated by the former Massachusetts governor's unwillingness to commit to his causes.
"He's not the bold decision-maker like Newt Gingrich is," Adelson said. "He doesn't want to - every time I talk to him, he says, 'Well, let me think about it.' "
Adelson said he had talked to both Romney and Gingrich about agreeing to choose the other as a vice presidential nominee. Gingrich, he said, rebuffed the idea because it would make it harder to gain much-needed support from governors in other states.

Quite an indictment of the cheesy losers voting in the GOP though.
Even Adelson thinks Romney is an etch-a-sketch flip flopper
Sounds like Newt was the real one playing both sides of the fence.
Mitt Romney IS an etchasketch flip flopper
Yes, I wonder why Adelson is even talking to Romney knowing his track record of lying without concern. It used to be that a man’s word was his bond. Adelson thinks he can negotiate with a man whose word is worthless? Like the kids say, Dude?
All Obama must do is thru ads show how liberal Romney really is..
Will kill Romney with most republicans and democrats will choose the real liberal(Him)..
Would be quite easy to do, as well..
Obama can toast Romney and spread liberal peanut butter all over him..
Would hard to try to get off...
Most republicans already know Romney is a synthetic Union stooge like Obama is..
Except Obama is real.. Romney will do NOTHING to deal with the Unions.. NOTHING..
Union corruption is so deep it corrupts the entire political system..
Romney goes out of his way to say NOTHING about Unions.. NOTHING..
America is suffering from mass hysteria.. brain washed by Unions..
Are you ready for Obamas second term?.. WELL get ready.. the fix is in..
As long as he stays in, he can still influence the conversation. That is what we need, anything but surrender..
wow is this what is called a tantorum.. typical, Santorum is stupid, it has to be said..
You have no clue about Sheldon Adelson none zero. He is doing this to stop Obamacare / Romneycare. The law is devastating to the casino industry. Adelson does not trust Romney to go thru with a repeal AND since Santos is Mister team player and endorsed Romney and Specter, Adelson does not trust him either.
BTW - Adelson has done more for GOP then you can even dream of, that includes supporting many pro-life candidates..
ALL the polls show that an exit of Gingrich HURTS Santorum not Romney - so quit with the stupid tantorums
So correct, the unions will take out Ohio and Nevada, both GONE...Wisconsin not looking good, new Mexico purple and looking blue, might even take Arizona and Colorado. Can’t win without these states..
Well put. I thought AC’s comments were some of the most foolish I’ve seen in a while.
I would think NM would be a total part of the Obama base again, not withstanding the Republicans gains there in 2010, probably from low turnout. People there like government programs, and those associate Obama with all the goodies they like.
We have to say it, someone does to the Newt supporters. Sorry if your guy Adelson betrayed you by supporting Newt and helping Romney. This was Adelson's plan all from the start and they played you Newt supporters like fools...
Can we say ? WE TOLD YOU SO !
In an attempt to inform, no doubt a waste of time, nonetheless, it was reported that romney's people had "reached out" to Adelson about a month ago...
And Adelson commented he was mainly interested in depriving Obama of a win for two reasons: Obamacare and Israel. And offered he would probably remain active in the campaign financially even in the event Newt went out... and only in the event Newt was out.
Adelson had many reservations about romney's position, probably where the all-he-ever-says-is-"I'll-get-back-to- you" comment comes from..
Newt said he knew about it, and Adelson was, like many, looking for an Obama alternative, especially if his candidate was out. He thinks, like a lot of knowledgeable, thinking people, that Santorum is a charlatan.
"Newt Gingrich is the only candidate still in the field who can clearly take on Barack Obama in one-on-one debate and cut through the Obama rhetoric and mystique with hard facts and plain logic. Nor is this just a matter of having a gift of gab. Gingrich has a far deeper grasp of both the policies and the politics than the other Republican candidates." -Thomas Sowell

I agree with everything you said, and Santorum is very very much a pro-big-union guy all across the boards. I find that very concerning, if not disqualifying...
I believe the term you’re looking for is Santantrum.
Actually, there is strong polling data to suggest that as much as 57% of Gingrich’s votes would go to Santorum.
See the link below
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/08/how-would-santorum-do-without-gingrich/#
Indeed, one can make the very plausible argument that it is Gingrich who has given us Romney. Had Gingrich withdrawn prior to the MI and OH primaries, Romney today would have been burnt toast. Romney won MI by a thin 3% where Gingrich siphoned 7% of the vote and Santorum lost to Romney in OH by under 1% where Gingrich took home an insignificant 14%. These were crucial primaries where a Romney loss would have been catastrophic.
Sheldon Adelson hates Santorum because of his conservative social causes. The casino mogul is in hot water with federal investigators for criminal activity and would rather see Romney rather than Santorum.

uh, the poll you quote was at the beginning of March. Santorum has lost a great deal of support as the month has waned, due to some unfortunate things he has said.
The gingrich scenario you proffer has also been disproven many times over, but I don’t expect that would deter you; I frankly don’t have the time to waste to discuss it with you. working hard for Newt, and only have discourse with individuals with open minds...
Have a great night!
