The Republican-run House has overwhelmingly rejected President Obama's $3.6 trillion budget for next year after a vote forced by GOP lawmakers to embarrass Democrats.
Republicans have opposed Obama's budget all year, criticizing its tax increases on the wealthy and saying it lacks sufficient spending cuts.
Democrats have defended Obama's budget priorities, but they largely voted "no" Wednesday night.

The vote was 414-0.

Largely? More like overwhelmingly unanimous it would seem.

The 382-38 roll call paved the way for Republicans to muscle through their own, more stringent budget on Thursday

Election year?
Of course he sent a bill to the House. Now Republicans can’t say that Obama has sent them a bill. He is sleazy. He has just knocked out a pretty good part of the Republicans negative of Obama that he never sent a bill to the House....UGH!!!! Dang him.

If I may, how does having a Floor Vote on a Budget the Democrat President submitted embarrass his own Party?
Is it because that same President really is an embarrassment to his own Party and the Budget he submitted only proves the point?

Democrats have defended Obama's budget priorities, but they largely voted "no" Wednesday night. 414-0 and they say 'largely voted no'?
I despair for journalism in this country.

Thanks tobyhill.

And THAT is the buried lead. Thanks AP, nice of Fox to use your line of partisan bull instead of covering it in person.

Wake up. Revenue bills originate in the House so the president is Supposed to send a budget to the House. Obama finally did the right thing. It is up to the House to pass a budget (which they have) and send it to the Senate and up to the Senate to take up the budget bill.

BFD - now the GOP need to start DEFUNDING this RAT madness and do NOT raise the Debt Ceiling - make Zero take the fall if the bond market goes berserk. The Feds have plenty of cash coming in monthly to meet ALL the needs of paying interest on US Bonds and T-Bills. There will only be a default if Zero chooses to default - treasonous. The tough part for Zero is that he will be forced to cut his social utopia programs if he does not have the ability to borrow more cash OR he will just ignore Congress and the Constitution just like he proposed to do back in

None of the 21 wanted to be the laughing stock of congress. That's it! And didn't want their names out there for election purposes. Self serving *&%!@^"$.
ROMNEYCARE is the blueprint for obamacare and Romney loves his Romneycare for others while he doesn't use it. He will start it all over again - national healthcare! He cannot get in!!

He has just knocked out a pretty good part of the Republicans negative of Obama VERY dumb statement. And besides that, you don't hide it well.
