Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) on Wednesday morning was asked to leave the House floor after removing his suit jacket to reveal a "hoodie," then putting the hood of his sweatshirt on his head to protest the Trayvon Martin killing in Florida. A photo of Rush can be seen here.
"Racial profiling has to stop," Rush said. "Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum." Rush also put on sunglasses.
Rush quoted the Bible while presiding officer Gregg Harper (R-Miss.) repeatedly interrupted him, then asked the Sergeant at Arms to enforce the House prohibition on hats in the chamber.

Let me sucker punch, tackle, get on top and start slamming your head into the sidewalk.
Then you can tell me your theory of self defense!
The barbarians are no longer “at” the gate.
LOL!! Too true!
Kristinn....I have been an reading you for a long, long time and that is your funniest post.
This is the kind of Hoodie you wear when two black teens pour gasoline on you and set you on fire.
Democrats and hoodies go hand-in-glove.
5 rule 7 Punk ! Get out of my house !
Can this ghetto thug be impeached for contempt of Congress? Oh wait, 0bama has already set a precedent for that.
I wonder if kmart and wal-mart sales of hoodies have gone through the roof over this....? /sarc
Can’t say I like the house dress code, i think it embordys too much respect for congress as a body. But still people in congress seem to think themselves important enough to impose a dress code and so violators of the dress code must be removed until such time that they come into compliance.
It’s OUR House not THEIR House and they better damn well respect US.
“
“Several members of the Congressional Black Caucus have taken to the House floor for the last week to call for the arrest of George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old Neighborhood Watch patrolman who allegedly shot Martin last month in Florida. While these calls have escalated, Florida police have said some witnesses saw Martin beat Zimmerman before the shooting, and Zimmermans lawyers have said he acted in self-defense.”
What’s more important? Eye-witness testimony or “calls” from the Congressional Black Caucus.”
It does seem to be the case in the eye of many congressional democrats their own opinion is above that of Florida law & justice.
These jerks don’t have the slightest conception of law and justice.
“Its OUR House not THEIR House and they better damn well respect US.”
They have just as much claim to that fallen house as we do the only real difference is theses people specifically have no respect for any rules.
I for one don’t feel that the fallen federal house is worthy of the respect reflected in a dress code. Respectful houses honor and RESPECT their own job & limits. This Federal house over the last 100 years has shown little to no respect for either its limits or job.
The Federal house is in my opinion unworthy of the respect it demands. But that nonetheless is their demand and they seem intent upon enforcing that demand upon everyone.
“These jerks dont have the slightest conception of law and justice.”
Their after raced based hate, law and justice are completely irrelevant to them.
This has nothing to do with Trayvon Martin, Florida Justice, or George Zimmerman its all the politics of race based hate.
Men from New York and Illinois have nothing to do with Florida.
If they keep this nonsense up, they may bring back the old insult, “they all look alike to me”.
Me too...is it a serial robbery???
