Sorry FRiend, that is not correct.
Zimmerman was not apprehending the individual in question, he was observing his actions and reporting them in real time to the proper authorities.
Your pejorative use of the phrase "captain" is most illustrative of your agenda.
Whether black kids murder each other is not relevant, each case should be decided on its individual merits, not hypothetical, liberal, race baiting BS.
My understanding of Florida law is that if you are arrested and arraigned on a felony charge, the state has 175 days to bring you to trial. The prosecutor’s actions are totally justifiable. If they had arrested Mr. Zimmerman, they’d still be investigating, except the clock would now be 145 days instead of 175.
True story. A cousin of mine owns a convenience store. He was outside the store when a "customer" drove off without paying for gas. Cousin hopped into his car and followed, simultaneously on cell phone to police, relaying actions and locations.
Perp stopped and pulled his car to side of road. Cousin did the same...still on phone to cops. Perp gets out of car with firearm and heads for cousin's car. Cousin is also armed (and his father is "former Marine"....and marksmanship runs in that family....even the gals CCW and shoot).
Perp fires....misses. Cousin fires.....doesn't miss.....dead perp. No charges, cousin not even detained, weapon not confiscated.
I have no idea of the complexion of the perp, but anyone who would try to commit murder over the cost of a tank of gas is better off eliminated from whatever gene pool he came from.
There is no harm in the use of the trifle of “captain” as lots of media outlets have reported that Zimmerman had attained the rank of Captain in the Neighborhood Watch.
