Newt Gingrich tours Annapolis ahead of Md. Republican primary "Former House speaker Newt Gingrich campaigned Tuesday in Annapolis, where he spoke to the Maryland Senate, toured several small businesses including a jewelry store owned by a Republican delegate and blasted Gov. Martin OMalleys (D) proposal to raise the gasoline tax.
Gingrich, whose visit comes one week ahead of the states April 3 Republican presidential primary, started with a private fundraiser at the Annapolis Sweet Shoppe in West Annapolis and then moved to the State House, where Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. (D-Calvert) and senators of both parties applauded Gingrichs brief remarks.
Gingrich was then given a brief tour of the historic State House before speaking to reporters, saying he intended to stay in the race despite his campaigns financial troubles and Mitt Romneys increasing lead in the delegate count.
The moneys very tight, obviously, Gingrich said, before adding, We have the money to keep going.
If we get to June 26 and Governor Romney does not have a majority, I think youll then have one of the most interesting open conventions in American history, he said.
Gingrich, who has promised to lower the price of gasoline to $2.50 a gallon, also took a shot at OMalleys proposal to apply the states 6 percent sales tax to gasoline the most unpopular of at least a half-dozen tax and fee hikes the governor has proposed for the budget year beginning in July......

If our country does not turn this around, we are going to be heading down the same political correct road for our nation's future. Newt Gingrich is the Only person who is telling the truth of the issues. Everywhere, he goes, he leaves the truth right there in the people's faces. I cannot believe we may be losing this great leader. Romney, where is he at-nothing about Obama’s remarks caught in regards of Russia. Romney often waits to comment after seeing Newt taking the lead so he can go with that. Who would Romney copy if Newt was not around? Praying for an open convention.

The latest O’Malley theft:
He just told the Counties they had to pick up half of the teachers pensions.
He didnt say what he would do with the money this will save the state, nor what happened to the money teachers poaid into the state.
In essence what this does is force the Counties to raise tax’s.
Putting the blame on County Commissioners instead of the Maryland House and Senate.
Friggin thief.

While talking to reporters, he also slammed Gov. Martin OMalley, a Democrat, for proposing an increase in the states gas tax that appears to have lost most of its support from lawmakers. Are Maryland voters finally saying no to O'Malley?
