Twenty-four astronauts have been on or near the Moon. Twelve of these landed on the Moon and actually walked on its surface.... all using mile, inch, quart, gallons. broken down into decimals, of course...the part that makes sense...rather than that '64th of an inch' thing....nothing wrong with the US system of measure....unless they combine the two systems...that caused a Mars probe to crash.
We learn both systems in engineering, but mainly we use the SI system. With so many endeavors using multiple countries nowadays, it makes sense to pick one system. During the 60’s, we were way less globalized.
I knew about the Mars probe incident. Just as we picked Zulu time for standardization, to eliminate errors.
