That term looks like a candidate for my list of all-time favorite oxymorons. It's right up there with "jumbo shrimp", "rap music", and "reality TV".

Well then, how do you like the phrase one reads so often with only minor variations in the newspaper and online articles, for example (made up on the spot): “Barry Bonds was once told by his late father”?

That is numero uno on my own list. The dead speaking.
