All the misinformation out there, including this article are pure speculation or purposely made up/slanted.

Until the full investigation is complete, no one knows the truth, but the police report is, at this time, the best unbiased recitation of the facts in the public domain.

I implore everyone to stick to known facts and don’t speculate. There is enough B.S. out there on this case already.

Thank you! The left - the race baiters are speculating and fanning the flames of anger and radical racial white hate in this case without considering the facts; all the facts not being known at this time and the MSM and even at least one GOP presidential candidate are helping them.

But wild speculation and jumping to conclusions from our side is almost as bad, IMHO.

I know some are just trying to bring some balance to a lot of unbalanced reporting and calls for Zimmerman’s conviction without trial, but speculating that Martin was a drug dealer because we all “know” anyone who wears a hoodie has to be one, when so far there are no facts to support that, saying that he was shot at 3:00AM when it was actually around 7:00PM, posting FB pictures of some thug that turns out was someone else who shared Martin’s name, etc., posting web blogs as news reports, it just doesn’t help.

I’m not about to try and convict Zimmerman based on the court of public opinion and the opinions of the Sharptons and Jacksons and I’m also not about to completely exonerate Zimmerman and convict Martin for "having it coming to him" either based purely on speculation.

I can only “hope” that the new prosecutor in this case doesn’t cave to PC and outside pressure and conducts thorough and unbiased investigation and that the truth comes out. Sadly I don’t necessarily think that will happen given that Angela Corey is known for her zealous defense of victim’s rights and her considering this as a “hate crime” (eye roll), but I can still hope.

Unfortunately as so many have already made up their minds, whatever the unvarnished truth turns out to be, if it is ever brought forth, I tend to think no one will be completely satisfied with the outcome.

good post. It’s disappointing to see people taking sides based on political assumptions

The truth is usually somewhere in between.

The NY Post, yesterday, published previous 911 calls Zimmerman had made. One kid was as young as 7 yrs. old. What was he doing? Walking down the street...like Martin.

Now that doesn’t shed light on the details of the final struggle, but it does shed light on how the incident unfolded from the beginning.

Whatever happened between those two...it began with Zimmerman deciding that a person walking down the street was suspicious.

Maybe people really need to see someone actually doing something illegal - or more “suspicious” than just walking down the street? - before they call 911.

Thanks. I spent too many years in military law enforcement and then as a P.I. doing criminal/civil defense work to take my, or anyones first impressions, to be valid. The facts are always evolving in any investigation. Witnesses statements, which it appears were many in this case, physical evidence, 911 tapes and the “person of interest” statement, (he was, from the reporting I have read, not being accused of a crime at the time of the interview/interrogation), all need to be confirmed and evaluated.

The 911 tape, (I have not heard it myself, just going on a recap of it by a reputable news org. and police dept. statements), that Zimmerman said he was walking back to his SUV prior to the incident needs to be verified with time lines to determine if Martin came up to Zimmerman after Zimmerman apparently “broke off his surveillance”. But that determination has not been made public yet, so we can’t speculate on it either.

The Grand Jury needs to be allowed to do their job. However, I am concerned by the reports that the DOJ is looking to try to make this a hate crime if the Florida officials and the Grand Jury determine that there is not a crime to prosecute. That would be a political “pimping” of the situation, IMHO.
