My understanding (which is consistent with the use of the word “body”) is that the situation being described by Cutcher took place AFTER the shooting. A witness (”John”) described Martin being on top of Zimmerman punching him in the face prior to the shooting (consistent with Zimmerman’s facial wounds).

No, it doesn't. Where do they say he was shot while in this position? It makes total sense that he would be laying on his back after being shot and rolled off of the shooter. How do know that he wasn't trying to stop the bleeding?

“hands pressed on his back” indicates the encounter is terminated otherwise the women would have seen Zimmerman shoot Trayvon.
