SANFORD — Members of the New Black Panther Party are offering a $10,000 reward for the "capture" of George Zimmerman, leader Mikhail Muhammad announced during a protest in Sanford today.
The bounty announcement came moments after members of the group called for the mobilization of 5,000 black men to capture George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin last month.
The New Black Panthers will hold a protest in Sanford just before 1 p.m. today, the activist group's third protest in the past two weeks over the fatal shooting of the Miami Gardens teen.
The group called for Zimmerman's arrest and threatened to find and detain him if police were not willing to do so. But group members didn't call for the mobilization of thousands until Saturday.
Muhammed led the group in chanting "Justice for Trayvon!" and "Black Power!"

Isn’t solicitation of kidnapping a crime? With no official warrant out for Zimmerman it’s hard to interpret offering a $10k ‘reward’ for ‘capturing’ him as anything less than that. Will the media be demanding the arrest and trial of Mikhail Muhammad for this?

Garbage like this should be instantly against the law and result in legal action against these New BP thugs. This is just another variety of vigilantism. They’re putting a bounty on someone and they have no legal authority to take any action in a case like this.

I think you are right. Bounty hunters can’t just go and find someone and bring them in.
Among other legalities, there has to be an arrest warrant issued for someone.
Sometimes, liberals lecture us about how we have to follow the laws and regulations in our legal system, to serve the cause of justice. But other times, such as this case, the liberals don’t care about legalities. They just want to lynch this guy, regardless of any legal process.
In fact, the fact that Zimmerman was not arrested and charged at the time is a major part of this which has liberals upset. The police did their investigation at the time and decided there was not evidence to charge Zimmerman, that it was self-defense. But the liberals have decided that we should not care about such legalities in this case.
Somebody had better pull the brake on this real damn soon. This is outrageous and if law officials and gov’t won’t protect Zimmerman and stop these rabid racists, then regular folk should.

I’m tired of waiting for Black America to “get it”. At this point - I must conclude - any social/demographic group that does not win its own freedom, does not have the cultural maturity to value it and keep it safe.
Blacks are 25% of the Democrat vote. Without them - Dems lose every national election by 10%.
