Ten people were killed and at least 39 others were wounded in shootings across the (Chicago) city this weekend.
Most of the victims, male and female, ranged in age from their mid-teens to 30s, with the notable exception of a 6-year-old girl who was shot dead as she played on the front porch of her home in the Little Village neighborhood.
Neighbors said Aliyah Shell was playing on the porch of her home in the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue about 3:40 p.m. Saturday while her parents sat on the front steps. A small gray pickup truck stopped in the street and one person inside got out and fired four shots -- two of them hitting the little girl.
Aliyah was struck twice and initially was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. She was declared dead at 5:24 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

Hey BO, if you had a son—he’d “look like” this kid, too. Any spare outrage at the many atrocities that “your people” commit, as opposed to a single incident in which the “white Hispanic”-(whatever that is)-guy might have actually been justified?
Starvation and torture don't count unless done by a white Hispanic to a black child. Or a white middle class person with conceal carry to a black child. But black on black torture doesn't seem to count for much. Doesn't count just like black on black murder doesn't count.
That said, my prayers are for the child - prayers that God will hold and heal the child's pain and wipe out memories of evil parents.
It does make you wonder about the selective outrage of liberals.
The ongoing violence, much of it gang related, in our ghettos, is staggering. Yet it is almost never talked about by politicians, the MSM, or people such as Al Sharpton.
Yet, one tragic incident in Florida, because the victim was black, and the shooter not black, has triggered a wave of hysteria among the liberals.
To listen to these liberals, you would swear that society, and the south in particular, has not changed at all since the days of Emmitt Till. Yet, now we are having a liberal angst session about the danger to black youth from racist people with guns.
The truth is, the biggest danger to black youth is other black men with guns, but that story never gets reported.

I saw the photo and I know it’s easy let emotion blind us to flaws in our culture. Until we take responsibility for our actions there will be no end to the senseless deaths of other beautiful and innocent children.

I’ve been listening to the Chicago PD scanner since I read this thread - many of these Cops are working a war zone(and it’s only Saturday morning!)
During Katrina I was listening to those scanners...Chicago is like Katrina 365 days a year - every year.

Given as much as we hear from the national MSM, judging only by the headline, you’d think this story was about Baghdad or Damascus; and certainly not dear leaders’s home town.
Abortion has decimated a generation of socialists. I read somewhere that base on current voting patterns (95% of blacks voting socialist, 55% of white women voting dem, etc.....) that 90% of aborted children were likely dem voters. Not advocating abortion, merely noting the irony.
