When did the 16yo girlfriend report hearing this conversation?
Did she report it to Sanford PD at the time Martin was killed or several weeks later after Sanford PD concluded their investigation and the Martin family lawyers went looking for some 'new' evidence?
I do not know when this was reported. It was conveyed publicly by an attorney for Martin’s family, and I assume it was also been given to the police. The attorney says the girl’s family wishes to remain anonymous (understandably.) Since the story does not contradict Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense - in fact, it tends to corroborate it to the extent that her account shows Martin initiating contact (verbal.)
