The mob doesn't have full knowledge, because the mob has been informed by the media. But the media had the information from the start.

Assuming arguendo that Zimmerman had terminated his foot pursuit, and some moments later (say 30 to 90 seconds) was attacked, and getting a beating. That certainly fits "horrible situation gone bad." Do you think Zimmerman should be charged and convicted if he was the one attacked?

I think I remember hearing in the 911 tape that when the dispatcher, in response to Zimmerman saying that he was following Martin, told him not to, Zimmerman says "ok". I'll have to go back to listen to that to make sure.
Make no mistake. I think Zimmerman was dumb to have followed him in the first place, but, I am starting to think that maybe what is being said about Martin attacking Zimmerman is correct. If Zimmerman did keep pursuing Martin, and in some way tried to detain him, then Zimmerman is in deep doo doo. I hope that facts all come out. But I don't think facts will have any sway on what the mob mentality already is. We shall see.
