Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) talks about the Trayvon Martin case on Starting Point with Soledad OBrien.
Wilson says, It's racial profiling. This isn't something that someone is pulling out of a hat. It happens all the time. It is happening as we speak. Racial profiling happens in our nation, in our state of Florida . It happens every day. We're not trying to make it racial. It is racial.
On the potential public reaction if shooter George Zimmerman isnt convicted, she adds, Well, I am afraid to even think. I don't want to think back to the '60s when people burned down cities. So, as we move around and we talk with people who are participating in rallies, we've got to prepare them as they move through this process as to what the outcome might be. There is no way I can see a grand jury not indicting this man. However, it's my understanding the grand jury is all white. I think that needs to be changed first of all. I think it should be a jury of his peers, someone who looks like him or looks like his family members, his mother or father. And I think that the energy - we'll have to find a way to transform this energy in making this a better country for little black boys. Weve got to all become mentors.
On the police chief stepping down, she continues, That's an insult for him to say that he's temporarily removing himself. He needs to be fired. ....

Everything is always racial to racists.
I read the police report, it was posted on FR yesterday. It said zimmermans back was wet and covered in grass and his head and nose were bleeding.
This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.
I hope some cooler heads prevail soon.
Thank you. I am pretty much as angry at the reflexive reaction by many on the right as I am by the opportunism of the left and the selective focus of the media.
This case shouldn’t be judged by who your enemies are or what they say - only by the facts. Which the police in Sanford did a bad job of finding out.
You are assuming everything said by the Sharpton & Co. crowd, including the MSM, is the absolute truth. How about we let the system determine the facts in a court of law instead of the kangaroo court of the streets? I’m not here to “minimize” anything as regards this loss of life but I also believe we also must not allow the emotion of the moment to minimize the proper application of the law and procedure.
Start a legal defense fund.
At some point the Hispanics/Latinos are gonna push back on this and then things have the potential to get very ugly. Somebody should clue in President Fahrenheit 451.
You might know all the facts and details but I don't and Al Sharpton certainly doesn't.
There is a procedure in place for circumstances like this - that would be a fair trial at which the facts are presented followed by a judgment of guilt or innocence by a jury of peers.
But Zimmerman has already been judged and convicted in the public arena by people who do not know all of the facts - and not just by Sharpton but by otherwise responsible people who should know better.
There is no way Zimmerman can get a fair trial now.
I read that same information, but it was in an article - can’t remember where - but I haven’t seen the PR yet. I’ll search for it. Thanks.
Trayvor is hardly an innocent lamb. One’s first reaction to someone who knows you are not from their neighborhood is not to beat the living crap out of them, forcing them to defend themselves and putting a bullet in your brain.
The c..ns remark has already been proven false but has gone viral. Someone did a voice over. Fortunately the parents lawyer stated they had the orginal copy and those words were not in it.
So, please don’t use this as part of your assessment.
