Remember when my friend and colleague the estimable Juan Williams got fired from NPR for saying that Muslims formally garbed freaked him out at airports? Juan is among America's sharpest commentators. He wasn't justifying his reaction, he was copping to it. Maybe shock therapy or a semester of sensitivity training could change it, otherwise It is what it is.
No one black, brown or white can honestly tell me that seeing a kid of color with a hood pulled over his head doesn’t generate a certain reaction, sometimes scorn, often menace.

The statement, ‘If he wasn’t wearing a hoddie, he wouldn’t be dead,’ is flat out a lie. It was Williams actions that got him shot. The hoddie may have brought attention to him but it was his actions that brought about his death.
God have mercy on Mr. Zimmerman, I feel he is in grave danger. We are all in grave danger because of this. Of course if this had not happened, we would have still be in grave danger and they would have manufactured another incident.

Where is the story about a black thug, the only person here with a police record was Zimmerman . Whose step dad, a former judge, got off every charge and apparently got him out of jail.
And if Zimmerman hadn’t used his gun, maybe Martin might have used it and Zimmerman would be the one deceased.
Martin’s school records are sealed, probably if he has any police records, they’re sealed as well. Until they are released, no one knows what kind of a guy he was. Other than from the photos above, now scrubbed from FB.
