From the photos at least Zimmerman looks to outweigh Martin.

I have to wonder why would somebody follow a person after knowing the police were on the way and when they claimed the person was acting strange because they thought he was on drugs? Wouldn’t most people figure the reasonable thing to do was to let the cops handle this person? Wouldn’t most people if they thought a person under the influence of drugs might have a weapon figure the reasonable thing to do was to stay away from that person?

True but the media is using photos of Martin when he was younger. Martin was a football player and probably stronger.

Yes and yes, but perhaps Zimmerman was just trying to keep an eye on where he was going. It's possible that Martin escalated the situation and became the aggressor.
