Which witness report is that? The one in which even the local police have stated there were no direct witnesses? How about the 911 logs in which Zimmerman was told police were on the way, and recommended to NOT make contact with the 17 year old (who, by the way, was walking home and NOT bothering anyone).

Walking home through a gated community. Zimmerman claims that he did not follow Martin and went back to his truck. It was then that allegedly Martin attacked him. Zimmerman had a blood nose, blood on the back of his head along with grass stains on his back.

Until we get more facts, how can anyone suggest that the attack was racially motivated or premeditated?
