“One man worked as a consultant to the New York Times - the other is a Journalism professor.”

I grew up near Boston, and my dad was a professor there.
They remind me of 90% of the professors/consultants in beantown. Is there even one journalism professor in the
USA that isn’t a smug leftist? All the ones I have met are to the left of Karl Marx : )

My husband and I both worked with the Harvard crowd in Boston for a time (more like a soul test to see if we could possibly go into heaven). What an exercise in self control! Geeze!

Socially, the yanks detected a southern twang in my speech and they would ask accusingly, “Are you from the South?” I would say, “I am from everywhere.” They don’t like regional accents, thinking everyone should sound glorious like themselves. That’s why the politically correct parroting is so popular with them. It’s like holding a mirror up to their spotless faces.
