You have to see the difference with the Delegate selection here. I have no doubt Sarah is indeed more popular than any of the current candidates still in this. However, I’m fairly certain that the slate of Romney delegates are probably 100% hard-core moderate/RINO Establishment types that were fully vetted before the Romney camp allowed them to run as delegates on their behalf.
Tnere are multiple layers of vetting in some states. I know in the caucus states, the precincts send a bunch of delegates to the state convention, but they get whittled down to a smaller group to go to the national convention. In Pennsylvania, they’re directly elected, and it sounds like from one article that the state party plays a huge role in whose names get on the ballot. Ron Paul’s people are of course trying to pretend to support other candidates to get selected as delegates, and who knows if people who might prefer Rick or Newt are doing the same thing.
