In legal parlance I believe it is called an "admission against interest."

If the above is true, Bill Clinton is admitting something that is against the interest of his party.

I would think it also goes against his own self interest. If he knew for a fact that Obama was not elegible and did not divulge same, I would think he would be guilty of aiding and abetting a crime.
