The event was February 26, in the evening ~ 64 degrees, extensive rain ~ hoodies in fashion I suppose. I see guys wearing them around here when it rains.

All I'm saying is that those "hoodies in fashion" you suppose, may have had a very direct influence in the course of events that took place. Again, right or wrong. I don't, and never have owned a "hoodie" and it's most likely because of the branding affect that they have come to culturally possess, and not because it didn't seem an appropriate garment for certain weather. I also have never thought to wear pants with the waist below my rear end and the crotch below my knees. And no one wears pants like that for any practical reasons.

My son is a clean cut white kid who wouldn’t hurt a flea, and he wears hoodies almost all the time between October and March here in Florida.
