I don’t see how the clarification helps. So he doesn’t care about unemployment because it doesn’t affect his campaign? If I were on the unemployment line the last thing *I* would care about is Rick Santorum’s campaign.
He might instead have referred to what the Administration is claiming to be the unemployment rate vs the real unemployment rate, and gone down that road. Saying he doesn’t care about the unemployment rate but that he does care about his own campaign (which is how it will be read) is just idiotic.
I understood what Rick meant right away, and I explained it in my last post.
Rick DOES care about employment, but what IF unemployment DOES come back significantly before the General Election (which it probably won’t), there are other issues, too, like getting rid of Obamacare, our 2nd amendment rights, and freedom, and so forth.
What’s one-issue Romney going to say if employment comes back? Obamacare certainly won’t be a good issue for Mr. Romney(care).
