Yes, but many people then pull the magazine out and put another bullet in. That’s the “15+1” you see in descriptions as to how much ammo the gun can hold - the 1 is the one in the pipe.
but when the gun is fired, one case ejects and a new live round is stripped from the mag, leaving it one round less than full.
