When we get to that point in our communist future where we decide we have nothing to lose, those Patton quotes will come in handy. We’ll need a Patton, a George Washington, maybe even a Spartacus to lead us.
When I said the Tea Party was a nice try, I meant the same thing you said. We won in Nov 2010, but began to lose in January 2011. We needed to get angry at those politicians we sent to DC. Really angry. To quote my favorite movie hero Josie Wales: “Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you’re not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. ‘Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.”
We failed to do that. The communists and GOP eunuchs beat us through our own complacency. We never thought the communists would win, so we just assumed that the problem would go away. Now we’re going to pay for that assumption (and you know what they say about ASSUME!)
General Pinochet type also comes to mind.
That leader is out there somewhere. I believe that with my entire being. There are many solid patriots. Many who have already fought...and they are true leaders. Being American is not just about the country, being American is a thought process. Some of us are ingrained with it and recognize what is being done for what it is. We have pursued (and should pursue) all avenues peacefully but our enemy is also in our ranks (repubs).
Remember, only 20%-some say 30% (I believe that is an overly liberal estimate) of the population fought in the Revolutionary war while the remainder of the population didn’t want to get involved or they were on the side of the Tories. Those figures are probably pretty much in line with today’s population.
Love that quote from Josie Wales!
Hey...be sure to take a look at that interview if you have a chance.
Been terrific chatting with you.
