What’s there to worry about?
The end of the United States of America as we know it is coming fast and the Constitutional process for making laws and governing is not going to give Obama and Soros the new nation they wish to create.
Two words-

Well there are some holes in the plan unless the un is going to involved...
Number one the population has not been disarmed.
Number two, the nazis and communists had loyal troops that they kept for two reasons...they either offered them privileges that made them haves who oppressed the have nots, or they pitted them against another “race”.
Getting American troops to take part in oppressing themselves and their own families wont fly because soldiers and their families have been made very methodically into have nots by the govt for a very long time.
They are also sworn to protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic and they know this.
Third, nationalization only works as long as there is money to fund it.
There is no one left to tax unless you enslave the population which would route you back to my previous points.
so either George Soros and the UN are fixin to take us down, or Obama and the globalists are in for one of the most disappointing social experiments in history.
Either way, better go get lots of ammo and beans and rice and put it in Tupperware.

Most of the “armed population” is scared and weak, and not willing to sacrifice their lives for others.

The police unions, all the other unions, the NBPP, segments of the military, and foreign invaders/”guests” will support Obama.

Just offer to make them less of a have-not than the people they oppress. Threaten to make them a have-even-less if they don’t play ball.

Just brainwash them into believing that we are the domestic enemy. It won’t be 100% effective, but all the two items above have to do is get the remainder of the military to just sit on their hands until the civil government is sorted out.

Price controls, wage controls, food shortages, energy shortages, jackbooted thugs on every corner, and fiat currency supported by the rest of the marxist nations in the world (aka, the UN) will fund the conversion.

Enslaving the population is easy as long as you can starve/freeze the ones who don’t play along. Low, stagnant wages with inflation combined with “subisidies” for those who cooperate will go a long way in a short time.

I can’t imagine why FReepers would imagine that law enforcement or the military are some sort of repository of moral will. Such an instance would seem to be an anomaly in world history.
And most of those lifetime NRA members would easily give up guns rather than give up their Social Security checks.
Let’s be clear about this - Obama cannot legally ‘suspend’ the Constitution and declare himself ‘President for life’. We at the very least set a legal precedent in the Civil War that the Union cannot be ripped asunder by secession, and if true then it would apply in both directions.
The Constitution is a compact between the states that can only be suspended by constitutional convention. No one individual is given that power - even the President. All power given to the office, whether law, regulation, executive order is derived from the Constitution. Any attempt to suspend it would mean the office of President, and all powers with it, would immediately vacate him and he would devolve right away into something between a treasonous subversive to a domestic terrorist.
This is especially true if Obama tried to stay in office beyond January 21st 2013 without being re-elected. At that point no citizen, govt employee, public official, or member of the military has any obligation to follow any order or decree issued by him. In fact, Obama and any that follow him would be subject to the very interpretations of the Patriot Act set forth by the Obama administration, including imprisonment without trial and summary execution.
No state, or Governor of such state, will be bound to obey any directive from Obama or supply troops in support of his actions. The govt headed by Obama would be considered Outlaw and treated like a foreign invading power, whatever force necessary can be legally applied to resist that power.
All public officials, govt bureaucrats, and those in the military should heed that. If you decide to follow this man beyond his term of office, you both have no authority to back up your actions, and no protections from the consequences of your decisions. You again will be at best treasonous subversives, or at worst domestic terrorists, and subject to all provisions and penalties under the laws of the United States of America.
Any of the above reading this, you might want to think long and hard about what you are doing. You can promulgate all the legal theories you want, but they all leave you when you leave the Constitution. You have no protections whatsoever except the barrel of a gun, and I think you will quickly find you are widely outnumbered in that department.
As I understand it, his pardon power is unlimited. He could pardon, say, every male in every prison in the United States and there’s nothing anyone could do about it. Wouldn’t most of those so pardoned be grateful enough to enlist in his Civilian Defense Corps, especially when three hots and a cot, an M-16 and a spiffy uniform are thrown in?
