WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Pressure is mounting on Republican Mitt Romney to win next Tuesday's presidential primary in Illinois, a state considered friendly territory as he seeks to fend off a growing challenge from conservative rival Rick Santorum.
Romney and Santorum have added campaign events in Illinois over the next few days to try to get a leg up in the state, where a Chicago Tribune poll last week gave Romney a narrow lead of 35 percent to Santorum's 31 percent.
The former Massachusetts governor is pouring money into Illinois and sending an ally, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, to campaign for him there on Friday.

Romney/Christie = The Republican baby killing ticket.
*sigh*
seriously, we need a viable 3rd party, I wont vote for a pro-abortion ticket.
IMO, I don’t know if Christie ‘plays’ well outside the tri-state area.

His gun-grabbing ways don’t play so well in *my* back yard...
With Chicago being the be-all/end-all of how Illinois elections are won and lost, State-wide, you can rest assured the Machine will have ROMNEY-THE-RINO at the top, when all the “found” votes are counted.
You do not need a third party. Santorum is awesome. He has EVERYTHING and more in a candidate. He would beat Obama in a landslide due to his incredible ability to get the support of blue collar workers. We need Santorum as our President so badly.
A lot of people are going to Santorum’s rally in Rockford and Dixon on Monday.
In order to prove that the race is close, this article mentions a poll last week that showed Romney only 4 points ahead. However, the article ignores two more recent polls that show Romney’s lead at 6 points and 9 points. Those other two polls would have interfered with the chosen narrative.

With you on both.
I thought that was sarcasm, then I realized who posted it. Sigh.
